Weed & FERTILIZER Treatment FAQ
Do I need to be home at the time of service?
As long as your yard is clean and we have full access our applicators will begin your treatment. You'll receive at least 24hrs notice prior to our certified applicators coming to perform the service. If the date does not work simply give us a call or email and we will be happy to reschedule you.
When is my lawn safe to use after treatment and is it safe for my pets?
Your lawn is safe to use as normal when the grass has dried, roughly 2-4 hours after application . We also recommend watering for 20 minutes initially to help the fertilizer soak in.
How do I care for my yard before and after service?
Before service we only ask that all objects, including pet toys, are removed. 30 Minutes to an hour after service briely water the lawn to help optimize herbicide translocation. 48 hours after service the weeds will attempt to survive by germinating and sending out new seeds, to eliminate this simply Mow and Bag all debris 2 days after application
What kind of weeds will be controlled and where?
On all lawn areas including boulevards, we use a broad-spectrum herbicide formulated to kill hard to control annual and perennial weeds such as dandelion, clover, thistle and chickweed. Have weeds in rock beds or non-grass areas? We have a package for treating those areas too.
Will my lawn be weed-free after 1 treatment?
After the first treatment, you will see a very significant reduction in weeds. They will begin to turn colour and die after 1 week. It may take up to 2 weeks for the signs of the treatment to take full effect. New weeds will germinate between treatments emphasizing the need for multiple treatments in severe cases.
When will the fertilizer start to work?
Our fertilizer blend is a slow-release formula to reduce the chance of burning and even soil absorption. Multiple applications are applied during the season to keep your lawn green, lush and thick. We recommend significant and frequent waterings in the mornings and or evenings especially during the hot/dry months of July and August.
How does weather affect my treatment scheduling?
If you have a treatment scheduled and the weather prevents the service. We will contact you and you will be scheduled for the next serviceable date.
